MacPhail Center for Music, a community music school in Minnesota, registers its students in ActiveNet and runs its marketing and student services in HubSpot. A no-code connector between the two kept breaking, so Growth replaced it with a custom integration that brings ActiveNet companies, customers, deals and enrollments into HubSpot. In October 2026 Growth moved the integration to a new server and handed it to MacPhail's own staff, still working.

Why did MacPhail need a custom ActiveNet integration?
MacPhail registers students for its lessons and classes in ActiveNet, a registration system, while its marketing and student services team work in HubSpot. Without a link, the people who enroll and the programs they enroll in sit outside the CRM. MacPhail first connected the two with a no-code integration tool, and it broke again and again. ActiveNet is not easy to connect to, so a sturdier, custom link was needed.
What changed for MacPhail?
ActiveNet enrollments now reach HubSpot through an integration MacPhail's staff run themselves.

How did Growth build and hand over the integration?
Growth, an Elite HubSpot Solutions Partner, has worked with MacPhail over several years: first Marketing Hub, then the ActiveNet integration, then Service Hub.
Replace the connector: a custom script that reads companies, customers, deals and enrollments from ActiveNet and writes them to HubSpot.
Move student services: in 2024, MacPhail's help desk moved from HappyFox to HubSpot Service Hub.
Move the hosting: in 2026, Growth moved the integration to a new server.
Hand it over: on October 20, 2026, Growth walked MacPhail's staff through the integration and handed it to them to run.
Of the 90-day HubSpot implementation in 2024, Melissa Falb of MacPhail wrote in a HubSpot partner directory review that Growth built a platform that met MacPhail's needs and "even provided functionality that we had on our pie in the sky wish list."
For HubSpot teams
Hubs: Marketing Hub and Service Hub.
Started from: ActiveNet for registration; a no-code connector; HappyFox for the help desk.
Integration: custom ActiveNet to HubSpot sync of companies, customers, deals and enrollments.
Engagement: a long client relationship; the integration was handed to the client's staff in October 2026.
A good fit for: schools and community programs on ActiveNet that want enrollments in HubSpot.
Questions about this project
How long has MacPhail's ActiveNet integration been running?
Since before 2025. Growth built it to replace a no-code connector, ran it for MacPhail, moved it to a new server in 2026, and handed it to MacPhail's staff on October 20, 2026, still working.
Can HubSpot integrate with ActiveNet?
Yes, with a custom integration. HubSpot has no ready-made ActiveNet connector, so Growth wrote one for MacPhail that brings companies, customers, deals and enrollments into HubSpot.
Can a client run its own HubSpot integration after handover?
Yes. Growth moved MacPhail's integration to a new server and walked MacPhail's staff through it on a handover call in October 2026, so they now run it themselves.
