FourBlock is a national nonprofit dedicated to equipping veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses for successful careers after service. Through career readiness training, strategic employer partnerships, and community-based programs, FourBlock empowers its participants to pursue and achieve meaningful civilian employment.
As their programs scaled, FourBlock needed a centralized CRM system to unify marketing, sales, program operations, and data visibility—without losing the mission-first culture embedded in how their teams communicate and operate.

The Challenge
FourBlock relied on Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud and a patchwork of disconnected tools to manage marketing, fundraising, and partnerships.
The lack of a centralized CRM resulted in manual processes, limited visibility, and data inconsistencies—especially when tracking donors, employers, and alumni across overlapping systems. Reporting was slow, cross-department handoffs were cumbersome, and staff often had to manually update contact data or export lists between Salesforce, Classy (GoFundMe Pro), and spreadsheets.
As the organization doubled in size following its post-pandemic expansion, these silos became a serious barrier to growth. Leadership needed a more scalable, intuitive, and data-driven CRM infrastructure that could unify outreach, improve transparency, and empower staff to operate efficiently without heavy technical administration.
The Solution
To modernize FourBlock’s operations and better align with their mission, Growth designed and executed a full-funnel HubSpot implementation across four core hubs: Marketing Hub Pro, Sales Hub Pro, Service Hub Pro, Data Hub Pro.
We began with an in-depth discovery and mapping process to understand FourBlock’s unique ecosystem—spanning prospective students, alumni, employer partners, and funders—and then architected a system tailored to their workflows and nonprofit culture.

- Service & Support Systems – Introduced ticketing and shared inbox tools to streamline communication and reduce internal bottlenecks.
- Reporting & Dashboards – Delivered a full suite of dashboards for executive, marketing, and partnership teams, enabling real-time insight into outreach, pipeline health, and engagement performance.
- Training & Enablement – Delivered customized workshops and internal documentation to ensure team self-sufficiency post-launch.
Every element of the configuration was built to reflect FourBlock’s nonprofit structure—balancing enterprise-grade reporting power with user-friendly workflows. Growth’s wrap-up included full after-action documentation and architecture diagrams, ensuring operational continuity well beyond implementation.
Going Beyond the Scope
While the project was scoped for core system transformation, Growth identified several opportunities to deliver even greater value.
Our team collaborated with FourBlock to develop a digital invoicing and proposal process within HubSpot, replacing manual PDF invoices and paper-based approvals. This included building a custom product library and quote templates for sponsorship tiers, allowing partners to receive proposals, accept terms, and remit payment all within HubSpot.
We also designed donor and partner lifecycle journeys—helping FourBlock map how a veteran, mentor, employer, or foundation moves from awareness to engagement to long-term advocacy. These journeys now serve as the foundation for future automation and personalization initiatives.
The Results
By project completion, FourBlock had successfully transitioned from disjointed, manual systems into a centralized, scalable HubSpot ecosystem that supports every part of its engagement funnel—from first contact to long-term partnerships.
